Manchester Video Limited provide confidential processing of all types of video evidence including time-lapse, multi-camera (multiplexed) and digital CCTV. Commonly referred to as "video enhancement" the service that we provide is perhaps more accurately described as:- The analysis and processing of video evidence in order help clarify and/or reveal existing information and present the result in standard playback or viewing formats. Manchester Video use a range of specialist equipment to process video evidence. This includes dedicated CCTV decoding hardware & forensic analysis software developed in co-operation with the Institute for Forensic Imaging in the USA. We work very closely with our clients and are pleased to assist them in applying for prior authority in publicly funded cases. Cost estimates are provided for all other work. Manchester Video offer technical guidance and advice to help you to ensure that the best available evidence is secured whenever possible. We are an independent service provider. i.e. We will not work for the prosecution or police in criminal cases. However, we will assist the defence in liaising with the CPS, police and other agencies in order to carry out our client's instructions effectively. Note: We do not accept instruction from private individuals in legal cases. Our work is fully supported by witness statements in accordance with either the Criminal Justice Act or the Civil Procedure Rules for Experts and Assessors. We will attend court either as a professional witness explaining and/or presenting evidence or as an expert witness in support of a forensic report. In addition to video processing we have confidential in-house facilities to make photographic prints up to A4 size from CCTV, video tape, digital camera, camera phone images or 35mm/APS negatives. Many of our services are also available on site. This is particularly useful where highly confidential or specialised material needs to be processed. We can also attended court with specialist equipment to process and present evidence on-demand during a trial. Video copying & frame grabs from any video source including time-lapse and multiplex (multi-camera) CCTV video material, DVD, CD-ROM & camera phones. Scene extraction from hard disk based CCTV systems & self-contained tamper-evident CDROMs with conversion to standard playback formats. Colours corrected and video processed to clarify or reveal existing detail. Masking of 3rd parties,
innocent persons, vehicle registrations etc.
