Apple have updated their mobile operating system with some new features and tweaks. You’ll need to update iTunes first before updating your iOS device. Although the Apple TV 2 can update itself.
Be prepared for a couple of worrying messages about your phone/iPod being factory reset. The update can take a while (an hour or so) but once completed all you data and settings should be intact.
The update may fail with cryptic error messages, possibly due to high demand on Apple’s servers – just keep trying – sooner or later the update does work.
