IMAG for live music events is image magnification using projectors to show your artists on large venue screens. IMAG enhances the audience experience with the added benefit of recording and live streaming options.
The main benefits of IMAG in the venue are allowing the audience to see performers more closely. Projection screens also show graphics, playout videos, promotional messages and other venue information such as welcome notices.
The video feed to the screens, either in the main venue hall or other areas can show different content. You can decide what information needs to be shown in different locations. For example the stage screens might show mainly close up shots while foyer screens can show a full mix of shots from different angles.
Gig recordings are ideal for promoting future concerts, selling as merchandise or streaming to fans either live or later on demand.
Manchester Video cover small to medium size venues (up to around 5000 capacity) with multiple cameras. We can produce dedicated mixes for both IMAG, live streaming and recording. We will work with your existing AV setup if you have one. Otherwise we can work with a dedicated AV contractor to provide high quality IMAG feeds on stage and throughout the venue.
IMAG plus Recording or Live Streaming
IMAG alone doesn’t need an audio feed. If we are recording or live streaming your event then we can either take the house feed either directly into our vision mixers. PA audio mixes aren’t the best solution for recording. We can create a dedicated sound mix for the recorded or streamed versions.
If you ask us to record or live stream your event then you can choose either Apple ProRes or high data-rate MP4 recordings. We can record the main vision mix and any sub-mixes with the option of ISO recordings from all cameras. Camera cranes, tracking dollies and wireless roving cameras add to the overall production quality. Both the live audience in the room and online viewers will have a much more immersive and dynamic experience. We can even incorporate live overhead drone feeds with fully licensed operators.
