  • Upload your MP4 file and any artwork to us
  • We author your discs(s), duplicate, print and post

What’s included in the MP4 to disc service?

  • Basic disc authoring with fixed interval chapter points
  • On body print plain text and your logo
  • Postage to one or multiple addresses

Our service is ideal for Wedding Video discs and other celebration events.

This is a basic authoring and mastering service. We do not offer complex menu options and photographic prints on the disc. We include clear clamshell cases or slim 7mm DVD cases. We do not print paper parts/packaging sleeves etc.

Whilst digital files work great on Smart TVs and computers there are still some customers who prefer DVDs and less often Blu-ray discs. It’s tricky to make these on many edit systems. Even if your NLE software supports exporting to disc most computers and laptops don’t include a disc writer.

Here are a few FAQs explaining a bit more about our MP4 to DVD and Blu-ray service:

Q. Can I send you an ISO file instead of an MP4?

A. Yes you can send us a disc image file (ISO), a VOB set or MPEG2+AUDIO files

Q. Can you make both Blu-ray and DVD?

A. Yes we can make either or both.

Q. Whats the longest video on a DVD/Blu-ray disc?

A. 120 minutes is a good limit in terms of video quality. Beyond that it’s better to have the video on two or more discs.

Q. Can I send files direct from the camera memory card?

A. No. This service is for Videographers to send finished edits and not raw footage.

Q. How long does it take?

A. Short answer – it depends. Long answer – we are a full service live streaming and production company. Often we get conversion jobs turned around within a day or two. If we are away filming or have staff on holiday then it could be longer. We would always advise you when ordering. If your order is time sensitive let us know!

Q. What will the quality be like?

A. We use Adobe Media Encoder to compress footage. We manually set the data rate using a bitrate calculator to get the highest data rate we can to fit the duration on the disc. Video encoding is two pass VBR with audio as either PCM (if we have enough discs space) or MPEG Audio or AC3 if we think it will help us increase the video bitrate. Two pass encoding makes a big difference especially when scaling from HD down to SD. It goes without saying that the quality of the source material will always be reflected in the end result. Better input = better output. However, if we see a major issue with your content we will discuss it with you before going ahead.
